Praise Temple Ministries was called by God to do a mighty work for His kingdom in 1996. The vision was to build a ministry after God’s own heart, reaching out to the community and the world, winning souls to Christ, laying hands on the sick, and delivering those in captivity.
The first service of Praise Temple Ministries, formerly known as Exodus Ministries, was held on October 16, 1996, at 820 W. Bonanza Rd., Las Vegas, Nevada. It was led by Pastor Lafayette Moseley and Evangelist Delores Moseley, with several family members in attendance, enjoying the presence of the Lord.
In November 1996, Praise Temple relocated to 304 Madison Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada. On March 30, 2000, the ministry was blessed to purchase and reconstruct a new building on this property. Under the leadership of Pastor Lafayette Moseley, the ministry flourished, and many were added to the fold. Pastor Lafayette Moseley’s vision was to reach those whom society had abandoned, seemingly rejected, or labeled as "misfits," as well as those who had fallen by the wayside due to life’s challenges.
To fulfill this vision, numerous programs were established, including a food pantry, mission initiatives, employment assistance, and educational programs for youth. These initiatives aimed to build a strong and capable body of believers to expand the Kingdom of God. As Pastor Lafayette Moseley once stated, “Every person should strive to be the best asset in the communities they live in.” Many members of the ministry obtained degrees, certifications, vocations, and became licensed professionals, all while growing in their knowledge of the Lord.
In February 1997, under the divine guidance of Bishop Carruth Hall, the church's name was changed from Exodus Ministries to Praise Temple Ministries.
On May 14, 2018, Pastor Lafayette Moseley was called to glory to receive his crown of life. Since then, Praise Temple has persevered, continuing to “fight the good fight of faith,” guided by God’s divine and perfect will, equipped by the power of the Holy Ghost. Under the leadership of Evangelist Delores Moseley, a very courageous woman of God, the ministry has been blessed immensely. The foundation of holiness and sanctification is set as the church prepares for a mighty and glorious work for the Lord, developing new and innovative programs to enhance the ministry.
Praise Temple continues to reach those whom society has abandoned, seemingly rejected, or labeled as “misfits” or those who have fallen by the wayside due to life’s journey. Our mission going forward is to serve God’s people and raise up leaders who will carry the mantle for generations to come. Guided by John 13:34, “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another, as I have loved you, that ye also love one another,” we strive to empower, educate, and nurture future generations through the power of the Holy Ghost. We are committed to building to the glory and honor of God, so His kingdom will come, and His Divine will be done. Is there anything too hard for God to do? No!
For over thirty years, the Lord has given us sound doctrine, wisdom, power, and love. He has kept, strengthened, and healed us. He has delivered, freed, rewarded, and blessed us mightily. We will continue “the good fight”! Bless the name of JESUS!
